History

Sixty years ago, an ambitious student of a simple “taat” school in Khewra, District Jhelum aspired to be successful. Against all odds, through hard work, dedication and the grace of Allah (SWT) he achieved his goal of becoming a USA trained medical physician. In the 1980′s, at the height of his career, rather than personal advancement, he chose to go back to his homeland to repay what he believed was his debt to his nation. He opted to revolutionize the educational system of Pakistan and make education accessible to every child. That young student was Dr. Zaheer Ahmad.

Turning vision into reality, Dr. Zaheer established Tameer-e-Millat Foundation (TMF), a nongovernmental organization, in 1987. With a mission to provide quality education to every child of Pakistan, Tameer-e-Millat pays special focus on character building of its students. TMF has remained steadfast to its objectives and in a short span of 30 years, TMF has achieved a reputable name with the establishment of 68+ educational institutions with 150,000+ lives changed for the promise of a better future.
